A short story...A romance in Brittany...

A romance in Brittany...

The sun glittered over the rolling hills of Brittany and bathed the picturesque villages in a warm, golden light. Julie took a deep breath as she inhaled the salty sea air. This was the place she always wanted to visit - a quiet, idyllic paradise away from the stress and hustle and bustle of everyday life. But would she really find what she was looking for here? Her gaze wandered over the colorful houses nestled on the shore of the small fishing port. The smells of fresh baguette and steaming coffee filled her nose. Yes, this felt right. With a firm decision she took the first step on her new path in life.

As Julie looks at the warm, golden light over the rolling hills of Brittany, she feels enveloped in a peaceful and calming atmosphere. It is as if the sun's rays conquer her worries and fears and give her peace and calm. The beautiful natural scenery strengthens her determination to pursue this place. When she experiences the picturesque landscape, the gentle waves of the sea and the silence of the small villages, Julie feels her thoughts calming down and the stress of everyday life slowly slipping away. The pure and untouched nature of Brittany acts like a balm for your soul and encourages you to concentrate on yourself and find your inner peace again. In this peaceful environment, Julie feels free from distractions and can focus on her own needs and desires.

Still, she was missing something...

Julie sat on an old wooden bench at the harbor in Saint-Malo and looked at the picturesque hustle and bustle around her. The sun shone warmly on her face and the salty scent of the sea wafted gently through her blonde curls.

Back then as a Swiss exchange student, she fell in love with this small town on the coast of Brittany, with a mysterious stranger who made her heart beat faster.

Julie lived in a small apartment not far from the harbor and had just finished her coursework. Now she wanted to use the days off to explore the beauty of her surroundings and finally find her crush. She had seen him at the harbor day after day; always dressed casually, with his black hair seeming to dance in the wind. Julie's thoughts were lost in her romantic ideas when she noticed someone walking next to her.

The attractive stranger looked at her with his deep blue eyes and asked with a charming smile: "Can I sit with you?

Julie could hardly believe that this dream man actually wanted to talk to her. "Of course, please," she stammered, trying to cover up her initial nervousness.

"I've seen you here often and wonder what draws you here," he said, looking out at the sparkling sea.

Julie felt her heartbeat increase. "I'm a Swiss exchange student and I just fell in love with this little town. It is so authentic and has a unique atmosphere.

The stranger nodded approvingly. "I can understand that. I myself am a free spirit and love the beauty of nature. Here I find exactly the peace and inspiration I need.

Their eyes met and Julie's heart seemed to skip a beat. She felt an undeniable connection to this man, but they didn't even know each other's names. "By the way, I'm Julie," she said and hesitantly held out her hand to him.

He took her hand and held it gently. "I'm Vincent. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Julie.

Julie started to stutter because of her excitement. "Vincent, I... I would like to get to know you better. Maybe we could meet for coffee?

A smile spread across Vincent's face. "I would be very happy, Julie. There's a small, cozy café on the beach, what do you think of it?

Julie could hardly believe her luck as they made their way to the café and got to know each other better and better. They learned that they both shared a passion for literature and art and were similar in their dreams and goals. Every moment with Vincent felt like a magical moment, floating in harmony with the gentle surf of the sea.

The days flew by and Julie realized that she had fallen head over heels in love with Vincent. But their exchange program was coming to an end and the bitter reality was setting in. Both were forced to say goodbye and return to their home countries. They enjoyed the last precious days in Brittany and promised each other not to lose contact.

Julie flew back to Neuchâtel and everyday life quickly took hold of her again. But her thoughts were always with Vincent and she could hardly imagine life without him. Time flew by and Julie longed to see each other again. When she couldn't take it anymore, she decided to return to Saint-Malo and finally jump into the unknown.

When she was back at the port of Saint-Malo, Julie saw a familiar figure. Vincent stood there with a bouquet of red roses and a smile...
